David is the Veteran's Day keynote speaker before an audience of the American Legion. He has been a member of this Veteran's organization since retiring from the Coast Guard Reserve in 2004.

The following photos are from numerous "Book Signings" and "Author Talks" that David has done at West Shore Community College, in Scottville Michigan. David graduated from this college, too, with a degree in criminal justice. This is where he also attended the state police certification academy. The staff here always go all out for an author and David loves appearing at WSCC.

Live and on-stage, David Speaks to a festive 2009 Christmas audience at the historical Howmet Theater, one of the oldest still operating theaters in the Midwest.
His talk was part of a Christmas Concert and he spoke on the traditional Native American perspective on gift-giving.

UFO Official-Nados, Jessie Marcel Jr., Don Schmidt, David Walks-As-Bear, Kevin Randle and Stan Friedman – good friends of David's – one and all. Kevin Randle & Don Schmidt broke the case on the "Roswell Incident". Although David stays in touch with all of those pictured, Jesse Marcel Jr. and he are close friends, and communicate often.
Above: Jesse Marcel, Kathleen Marden & Stan Friedman. It was Jesse’s dad (Maj. Jesse Marcel Sr.) who found the UFO debris at Roswell, NM in July, 1947 while assigned as the Intelligence Officer at the local army air base. Kathleen interviewed Betty & Barney Hill for her book on the first-ever reported UFO 'close encounter of the third kind'. Stan Friedman appears on the History Channel often, and is a well-known author and expert on UFO's. David and Stan have been friends since 2003, when they appeared together on a radio broadcast of "Coast to Coast".
